Dramatist and director of Companhia Hiato of São Paulo, he is Master in Dramaturgy at University of São Paulo. He has begun as author and director with the play Cachorro Morto (Dead dog – 2008) and with the following text Escuro (Dark) he won Shell Award 2011 for Outstanding Author. With O jardim (The garden) he has received 19 nominations for main Brazilian awards and he won Shell Award 2012 for Outstanding Author, besides APCA Award 2012 for Outstanding Direction, Governor São Paulo State – Outstanding Play, and Paulista Cooperative Theater Award – Outstanding Author and Play.
Also the following plays are of his own Bagagem (Baggage) (finalist of Luso Brasileiro Dramaturgy Award), Dois Pássaros (Two Birds), Prometheus – the tragedy of the fire (selected spectacle to participate in Avignon and Edinburgh Festivals and nominated for three Shell Awards 2012, nominated for Outstanding Author Award CPT 2012) and Menor que o mundo (Smaller than World), directed by him as well. He's directed the play O Silêncio depois da chuva (The Silence After the Rain), it's had 2 nominations to Shell Award 2012, and he is writing and directing Projeto Ficção (Fiction Project) of Companhia Hiato.
Moreover, he is one of the writers for the feature-length movie A noite do Halley (The Night of Halley) and series for television.
